Institution’s Innovation Council

Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India has established MHRD Innovation Cell (MIC) to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes while they are informative years. MIC has envisioned encouraging creation of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) across selected HEIs. A network of these IICs will be established to promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in the campuses.

Major focus of IICs

  • To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem.
  • Start-up supporting Mechanism in HEIs.
  • Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements Framework.
  • Establish functional ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of Ideas.
  • Develop better Cognitive Ability for Technology Students.

Functions of IICs

  • To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bound fashion.
  • Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
  • Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
  • Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
  • Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.
  • Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc. with involvement of industries.
  • IAMR Students & Faculty associated with IICs will have exclusive opportunity to participate in various Innovation related initiatives and competitions organized by MHRD

Entrepreneurship Development Cell

In order to promote and encourage young entrepreneurs, IAMR Group of Institution, Ghaziabad has set up an Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) that is working under sponsored program by Department of Management Studies & Computer Application, Govt. of India to develop an entrepreneurial culture among the academic institutions. The objective of establishing an EDC is to set up an institutional mechanism to create self employment opportunities and to convert “job-seekers" into “job-generators".

In view of the worldwide shortage of jobs (both government and private sectors) which leads to unemployment related problems and lack of efficient utilization of human resources, the cell strives to identify talented youth for entrepreneurial related works. The cell organizes various programmes on entrepreneurship development.

  • The primary objective of this cell is to train and motivate Management and Technology (M & T) persons to become the Job-Creator rather than Job Seekers.
  • To conduct Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EAC).
  • To conduct Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP)
  • To conduct Technology based Entrepreneurship Development Programs (TEDP)
  • To conduct Women Entrepreneurship Development Programs (WEDP)
  • Conduct training programmes in the field of entrepreneurial skill development
  • Provide guidance and facilities to first time entrepreneurs during gestation.
  • To facilitate creation of Entrepreneur Club / E-Cells in college to foster a culture of entrepreneurship amongst students.

MRHD’s Innovation Cell

Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has established an ‘Innovation cell’ with a purpose of systematically fostering the culture of Innovation in all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the country.

MIC will focus on creating complete ecosystem which will foster the culture of Innovation across all educational institutions from ideas generation to pre-incubation, incubation and graduating from the incubator as successful start-ups. MIC will also work on designing ranking system to identify institutions in the forefront of innovation.

Ministry of HRD has established ‘MRHD’s Innovation Cell’ with the mandate to work closely with our Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to encourage the creative energy of our student population to work on new ideas and innovation and promote them to create start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures.

IAMR Students & Faculty associated with IICs will have exclusive opportunity to participate in various Innovation related initiative and competitions organized by MHRDs

IAMR believes into transformation of eligibility into capability as a initiative of that we constantly focus on various academic development programs such as FDPs, Workshops & Journals .

IAMR realizes that providing training and skills to faculty fraternity in their functional areas is an extremely important goal of management education. Realising this need, IAMR, Business School offers a number of Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) on emerging issues, evolving concepts and practices. The approach used in these FDPs aims at developing collaboration, appreciation of diversity apart from delivering knowledge.

Our faculty members have combination of academic and industry experience and consider conducting FDP as core to their own learning too.

IAMR, Ghaziabad has a Faculty Development Centre in its campus. The class rooms are equipped with the latest ICT tools.
